Melaka Solar Panel Installation

Paving the Way to Sustainable Future with Solar Power

Solar panel installation Melaka Plant

We are proud to announce the successful installation of solar panels at our Melaka plant in Malaysia, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. This project, completed in under a year from design and planning to installation, is expected to reach full operational capacity by March 2025. The solar panels will generate 1,500 MWh of clean energy annually, adhering to Malaysia’s regulation of meeting up to 30% of the plant’s energy requirements through solar power.

Leveraging Prysmian’s Expertise for Excellence

In this installation, we exclusively used Prysmian’s Prysun Solar PV cables and other Prysmian-manufactured cables, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability. This showcases our commitment to leveraging innovative, in-house solutions to achieve sustainability goals while setting a benchmark for excellence in renewable energy projects.

Environmental and Regional Impact

The Melaka solar panel installation will contribute to a reduction of 1,022 tons of CO2 emissions each year, aligning with Prysmian Group’s global sustainability objectives. By integrating clean energy solutions into our operations, we not only reduce our environmental footprint but also empower our customers across Southeast Asia to achieve their sustainability targets.
